SEO and AI search: what should a service website publish?
Clear answers, trustworthy information and meaningful page connections remain useful as search experiences change.

Search may display generated answers as well as lists of links. A useful response for a service website is to answer genuine audience questions more precisely. Producing many similar articles or adding new terminology does not create value on its own.
Start with the customer's problem
Collect questions asked before a project: which files are needed, which method fits the task and how will the result be approved? Let each article answer one clear problem. A guide to photography versus generated product imagery can support a real decision; “everything about creativity” has a less definite purpose.
Google's guidance for generative search features explains the continued importance of basic SEO principles. Its helpful-content guidance emphasises added value and the reader's needs. Those principles do not guarantee a ranking or inclusion in an AI-generated answer.
Make the answer easy to read
Begin with a short answer, then explain the steps, examples and limitations. Headings should identify each section's subject and sources should be accessible. If an example is invented, call it hypothetical rather than presenting it as a documented client case study.
A service landing page explains the collaboration offer; an educational article first helps the reader understand a topic. They can link to each other without repeating the same text under different titles.
Link to continue learning
When a term deserves a separate explanation, link that phrase to the relevant article. A content calendar helps avoid duplicate topics across a collection. Link counts are not a substitute for relevance; do not choose unrelated phrases simply to fill a quota.
- Link to published, accessible destinations.
- Make the anchor text describe the destination.
- Open the appropriate language version.
- Revise an older article when the content changes, not just to refresh its date.
Evaluate results with the site's own data
After publication, review incoming questions, page visits and measurable actions. Without data, do not invent search-volume or sales-growth figures. One page may need a clearer title; another may need relevant work samples or a visible contact path.
For Visionairt content planning, the content brief should define the audience, main question and related service. Visual identity and tone help make reading consistent. A consultation can start with a handful of genuine customer questions and turn each into an article with a clear use.
